Firefighters

On Friday afternoon the Halcombe Fire brigade came to school. They talked to us about fire safety, showed us some of the equipment they have and they also showed us how far the hose went. Some of the children got to try on the equipment and some got wet with the hose. It was such a fun afternoon. Thank you Miss Simpson for organising this for the school.

Small Ball Skills

We have been learning how to catch and throw small balls. Here are some photos of us bouncing and catching a tennis ball.  We had to remember to keep our eyes on the ball all the time and then cup our hands when we catch it. It was quite tricky. Well done Room 7 for persevering! We are going to working on throwing a tennis ball next.

Oh No!

The caterpillars have eaten through our swan plant. We need to find some more food for them. If you know what other food caterpillars eat please write your ideas on the wall wisher below!

The Very Hungry Caterpillars

Wow wee! Today we found two little caterpillars munching away at the swan plant. Super exciting! We will be watching them every day to see them turn into beautiful butterflies. Next time you are at school come and have a look at them.
